Colorado Tornado?!?!

We started the day very early today and did a turn to Indianapolis...and boy, was it a bumpy day! When we landed in Denver, we found out why...

A tornado had formed over DIA and then moved on to Greeley, CO where it touched down. We evidently, were flying over/around it. Yikes!

Next up, we picked up a new CPT in Denver (who will be with us for the rest of the 4-day trip), and then we headed to Chicago-Midway. This time, I did not call anyone to let them know I was coming into town - I've been up since 4:30AM and will have to get up tomorrow around the same time! So...it was dinner and then to bed.

On the DEN-MDW flight, we had a couple passengers feel ill because of the turbulence, so I made them ice packs to wear on the back of their necks. That did the trick! Towards the end of the flight a male passenger came up to me and the A flight attendant at the front of the plane to tell us that this was his first Frontier flight, and then it was his best flight ever! He thanked us, and he told us our smiles had a lot to do with it. Wasn't that nice?

All of us, except for the First Officer, went to dinner at Giordano's, and we had some great conversation. It turns out that the CPT lives by Meadowlake Airport in Falcon, CO - down the street from where Greg flies his R/C planes - what a small world! He knows several of the same people that Greg knows.

It was a very fun evening, after a very turbulent (2 tablets of Dramamine) day!!!
